Ivybridge Site

Castlebridge School will consist of 2 sites. The Tavistock Hub will open first in September 2025 and will have provision for 30 pupils. The Ivybridge site will have provision for 120 pupils. Both sites will provide specialist provisions for children between Year 3 and Year 11 with high-functioning Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) as their primary need. The schools will be available for pupils with an EHCP and all admissions will be done through the Local Authority (Please refer to the Admissions page). Ivybridge site is expected to open to pupils in 2027.

Pupils’ EHC Plans will guide and inform provision; pupils will benefit from smaller than average class sizes and higher than average levels of skilled adult support. The staff team will have the necessary knowledge and understanding of the pupil needs to be able to skilfully deliver EHCP outcomes. Effective partnerships working with parents and other professionals will be essential in ensuring all pupils benefit from an equality of opportunity in the education they receive. In this way, Castlebridge School will offer unique local provision designed to meet a clearly identified need aimed at bringing positive outcomes, opportunities and benefits for such pupils and their families. Castlebridge School will ensure that pupils are empowered to feel valued and part of their local community.
