Castlebridge School is looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team and help us deliver exceptional learning experiences.
At Castlebridge School we provide a creative and nurturing space for 30 pupils aged 7 - 16. Primarily we support those with autism who have faced challenges in mainstream education and may have developed strategies of school/ learning avoidance. We are a proud member off the Special Partnership Trust, a dynamic collaboration of specialist provisions throughout the South-West, focused on fostering excellence in education for all pupils, no matter what their challenge.

What you'll do:
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff to support pupils academically, socially, physically and emotionally. You will:
- Build positive, supportive relationships that help pupils grow in confidence, independence and self-esteem.
- Assist with the delivery of an ambitious, specialist curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Provide hands-on support for pupils with a wide range of learning, physical and behavioural needs
- Use IT systems to record and track information
- Ensure learning environments are welcoming, organised and well-resourced.
- Play an active role in breaktime supervision, educational visits and school events.

What you'll bring
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational and/ or care setting
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
- GCSEs (A-C) in English and Maths, or working towards equivalent
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting pupils
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to pupils welfare
- Ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Disability Discrimination Act.
