Data Protection at Our School

We are committed to protecting the personal data of our pupils, parents and staff. As a school we follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, along with guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our aim is to ensure that all information is handled securely, lawful and transparently.

Why Data Protection  Matters?

Schools handle sensitive information every day - including pupils records, safeguarding information, medical details, assessment data and staff information. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 require schools to protect this information and ensure it is collected, used, stored and shared safely. 

DfE guidance also outlines the policies and processes schools must follow to prevent beaches and manage data responsibly.
